As the stretch run of the NBA season hits up with playoff races building, brackets, March Madness and the NCAA Tournament has taken center stage in the basketball world. As the tournament has advanced to the Sweet 16, some of the top prospects for the 2025 edition of the NBA draft have been on display in primetime. Bleacher Report recently released a new NBA mock draft with predictions and comparisons featuring some players that will be on the court for the Sweet 16.

In the second round, the Warriors landed a 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of North Carolina with the No. 38 overall pick in the draft. Bleacher Report lead scout and draft insider Jonathan Wasserman penned North Carolina's Ian Jackson to the Warriors with their lone selection of the 2025 draft. According to Wasserman, Jackson compares to Detroit Pistons wing Malik Beasley.

Via Bleacher Report:

There was a stretch during the season when Ian Jackson emerged as North Carolina's toughest scoring threat. Between the ability to create drives and jumpers for himself, and the confident shotmaking, he's the type of guard NBA teams can consider for an instant offense role. But he fizzled out toward the end of the season, and with almost no playmaking ability, it's difficult to picture anything more than a scoring specialist type of reserve for the next level.

In his lone season in Chapel Hill, the 20-year-old former five-star recruit and McDonald's All-American averaged 11.9 points on 45.6% shooting from the field and 39.5 % from beyond the arc to go along with 2.7 rebounds in 23.8 minutes per game.

Jackson showed off his scoring ability with a 27-point performance against Notre Dame in January. Jackson scored 20 or more points eight different times as a freshman. Jackson's season came to an end with a loss to Ole Miss in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. Jackson had a quiet performance, scoring just one point on 0-of-3 shooting from the field.

The first round of the NBA draft is set to begin on June 25 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
