Was Fitz's catch sick or what?

Q is a beast, stud and we all love him as a player. But, how special is Larry Fitgerald? I knew the minute we drafted this kid he was a superstar in waiting. Fitz was unstoppable in college at Pitt. He makes spectular catch after catch. He has gotten so much better this season and will get better in the upcoming seasons. The 3 catches he made yesterday were unbelievable. He has more talent in one finger than Terrell Owens has in his whole body.

I am so glad you psoted this, Bucky. Fitz is an elite NFL WR (3 Pro Bowls in 5 years) and he's only 25. Unreal. His play Sunday was inspirational...and did you see the way he dove on Edge when Edge moved into 12th place on the all-time rushing list? Fitz is becoming the leader of this football team...by example and by spirit and sheer competitiveness.

I felt sorry for Trufant - what could he do? Good coverage on Fitz most of the day and Fitz is just spectacular...on that catch, the whole Seattle sideline was just gawking afterwards.

Unbelievable.

Does this mean he can look Boldin in the eye now?

lol.

I just love Fitz's enthusiasm for his teammates. Loved seeing him jump on Breaston after his TD catch and loved seeing the huge smile on his face on the news when they talked to him about "Cardinals fever". And you know what's even better than all of that? The absolute class he shows by never showing anyone up or making himself look like an ass after he just makes some poor defender look like complete and utter crap.

Man, I might just be starting to OD on Kool-Aid, but I'm starting to believe this team is just gonna come out as fired up as they've ever been, playing at a through 3 Quarters level of play against the Bears level... they just need to heed the lesson of that game and play 4 QUARTERS!

Bring on the Dirty Birds!

this is Cheese btw.

It was arguably the best catch he's ever made and that is saying something. It should've been in all the highlights of this game, but I never saw it.

BTW, he made that catch with his LEFT hand, and he's right handed.

Most guys get the kind of contract he got and lay back. I wish the rest of the team had his dedication and work ethic.

Loved what Brian Billick said during the telecast. To paraphrase, he said something along the lines of 'you can deal with pure speed and you can deal with quickness, but you really have no defense for receivers like Fitz and Q'. They just physically out-battle your defenders for the football.

My favorite Fitz catch has to be the 'Hail Mary' a couple years ago. It was the last play of the first half against the Niners. Warner throws one up from like 50 yards out and Fitz out-fights the defenders for the TD, then runs into the dressing room right away. Classic Fitz!!!

Do it for your future grandchildren...

TIVO or burn a DVD of Fitz and Boldin in action this year. Otherwise no one will believe all the things that you just saw.

The closest comparison I can think of are early highlights of Jim Brown or maybe Gayle Sayers.

It's like we're being treated to watching up close - a couple of the 7 wonders of the world.

Savor them.

As great a catch as that was on Sunday, I think his greatest catch ever was during his freshman year vs. Miami. The Canes were dynamite that year, but Fitzgerald stood out as the best athlete on the field. He made a catch along the sideline where he went horizontal, twisted his body, caught the ball and somehow landed with one foot in bounds. Kirk Herbstreet who is usually fairly reserved in his comments, went absolutely crazy when he saw the play.

Fitz is an absolute stud. For anyone who gets a chance to go to training camp, make a point to watch the drill where the recievers run around the cones and then have to catch a ball thrown either at their feet or above their heads. Fitzgerald is so good that Todd Haley just usually starts laughing because he can't get one by him.

That is a new thing from what I've seen...or at least more often. To me, Fitz had seemed kind of stand-offish, keep to himself kind of guy. This season, he's exuberant and bouncing all over the place. He's piling up YAC, spinning and boucing off of people, jumping on teammates backs, just being excited.

IMO, he's gone from "ridiculously talented WR" to "team leader who just happens to be a ridiculously talented football player."

That one handed catch was one of the better catches I have ever seen and that goes back many years. Better yet, it was in front of the Seattle Bench. He is basically unstoppable due to his size, jumping ability. big sticky hands, and moves like a RB. The guy also has the knack of staying healthy. He is the Dennis Green Legacy.

Drafting Fitz, Dansby and Leinart were about the only things Denny did right.

I think that his TD catch was even better. As I said the TV did it no justice.

Unbelievable performance by Fitzgerald during that entire game, and Ouchie is right. Fitzgerald was all over his teamates at every score.

Was fun to see him run off the field, the second after Leinart took a knee to end the game. He was gone in a flash.

Again, Fitz proved today he is the best WR in the league. What an acrobatic catch that was on the flea flicker. WOW!!!!! How many other WR's make that catch? Maybe Steve Smith, maybe.

That catch was ridiculous...jeez man. Larry is one sick effin athlete. They didn't bite much on that flea flicker, he gets two guys on him and pulls down a great catch.

Worth every penny.
