I was all about running the ball, and dig that they fed AP but towards the end before he fumbled, I wanted him out to conserve him. We fed him over 35 times and we have a game against Seattle on Thursday, and though he is in great shape, he is still in his thirties... I guess we are shooting for a win and not thinking beyond wins right now, but I can dream

The announcers kept telling us how many carries he’s had so, yeah, I thought about it often.

I expected the 49ers heads to bobble off :koolaid::rockon:- could have used the other backs more, maybe when DJ or Logan get back, BA got schooled on wearing down a Defense - not gonna advocate to pass more- but pass game has time to improve now.

Just a thought that AP success might benefit DJ long term- as far as sticking to a balanced game plan, when rough tides occur- these tides are suppose to happen

Peterson's upright running style...which is now more upright than ever...is going to make it tough for him to stay healthy, especially with 25+ carries a game. He is super tough...but man he leaves so much of his body exposed. In the past he used to lower his shoulders upon contact, but now he's twisting his shoulders. It's going to catch up with him, unless he changes his pad level.

That’s who Peterson is. I’ve never seen such a tough RB. If he wants it 40 times I’d give it to him. This guys wears out defender and steals their will to fight. He’s the best weapon they’ve got. They have little to lose. Keep pushing. It won’t always win, but sometimes it will.

AP looked exhausted after that last long run. Coach is running him too hard (at 36 attempts); was doing the same last year with David Johnson. Should limit the runs to 25; then decide whether 2 or 3 more are appropriate. AP's a beast, but not super-human.
Once DJ gets back, it should even out for the better.
