absolute jerks? Rude, cocky, arrogant, etc...

have no respect for the lot of them.

That was my experience with them yesterday.

Steeler fans last year were way classy.

Go figure.

A friend on the flight to the game yesterday (philly fan and penn native) told me it's an eastern/western penn thing.

Thoughts?

I actually happened to enter the stadium (Gate 1) while approximately 25 or so Iggle fans were entering at the same time. They were extremely loud and obnoxious - started their stupid E-A-G-L-E-S chant... When they got into the stadium, they were even louder but were quickly drowned out by hundreds of Cards fans.
I then had 2 Iggle fans sitting right behind me during the game. They were both very cool...

Ya I had a lot of Eagles fans that were standing in lines by me asking me if I remembered to take the price tag off my jersey or not. A lot of just general bandwagon and trash talk....but at my seats we had three Eagles fans in front of us who were really cool. They talked a lot of trash but you could tell it was just in fun. One guy had a Jaws jersey on so we kept referring to each one with different ESPN personality names. At the end of the game though, they congratulated everyone in my group and said hope to see you next year.

Yep, alot of jerk Eagles fans. Jerk Cards fans too. I got to the game only to have a group of Eagles fans behind me. This guy in the group was loud. The entire game he cheered for the Eagles. Never once did he say anything negative toward the Cards. We jawed. We yapped. I didn't welcome him. He was cool. There for his team. End of the game rolls around and I turn around to thank him for being cool. His wife points at his lip and says "Too bad the rest of Cardinals fans aren't like you." A Card fan had gone Nidan on him (cold cocked him).

Eagles fans are hilarious. The only way you lose is if you take offense to their stale wit.

That said, there was a reason why no player ever jumped into the stands at Vet Stadium ... they might come back missing a kidney or something.

Generally the closer you get to Philadelphia the more insufferable they are, but yeah that is one group that earned its reputation.

You should just told those guys that the true football team in PA is the Steelers. i did to my co-workers. BTW, I want to give some respect to some of the Eagles players. After the game, Asante Samuels and Westbrook seemed really happy for us. I know, I know, they were congratulating their friends on our team. But they looked very genuin.

Y A Card fan had gone Nidan on him (cold cocked him).

Ok now I'm confused, I don't remember hitting anybody for a very long time.

Well at least only people wearing a Gi and asking for it :)

I sit at the very top which means a lot of the seats around mine are broker seats, hence a lot of Eagles (not nearly as many as I thought there would be though). I'm almost always around other teams fans unless we are playing the hags, in which case the seats are empty. A few were cool, the two right in front of me were total punks, pretend tough guys. Every time the Cards would make any kind of play at all, especially including the great plays, these vicious little nerds would flip off the field. Its incredible how clueless these fools looked throughout the entire game. Anyway, the expression on these poor whelps at the end was worth the price of admission by itself. Another guy was a little better, mostly wanted to talk about how much he hated McNabb, but at the end when congratulating me and my brothers, had to add that we'd lose by three td's. Whatever. Maybe its not obvious to the very stupid, that we don't want anyone's faith at this point. Most of the eagles fans, that I saw, were an embarrassment to themselves, I'm sorry to say. No respect for the game.

I didn't have any bad run-ins with Eagle fans. There was one annoying one a couple rows behind me, but I pretty much ignored him.

Nothing needs to be said to them. They lost, they suck, they know it.

What?
The only iggle fan I talked to wasn't even really a fan. He said he was a fan of whatever team he bet on that week, yet had a $350 real jersey on, odd I thought. So I told him I hoped he went home broke and had an extremely expensive worthless jersey is his closet to which he shrugged and laughed like there was no chance of that.

After the game I caught his eye, shrugged and laughed while smoothing out my replica Wilson jersey. He looked like he was going to cry.

First off, there were much fewer Eagles fans in the crowd than I expected.

Second, the only time they became really loud was when the Eagles were making their comeback.

I had a few eagles fans in the row in front of me - they were pretty cool - they didnt talk much - just celebrated when the eagles made plays.

There was a large group of them right in front of our tailgate, in the middle of the great lawn.

Pretty lame, if you ask me. They were all huddled around, in the sun, with nothing to sit on, LoL. Every now and then a Cards fan would infiltrate the group and get pushed around. Then the troopers showed up and they were taking photos with the cops!

Had a few Eagles fans behind me, they were cool people. Shook our hands after the game and congratulated us, and were cool with the friendly jawing that went on in our section.

i think you were right by cheese and me! we put up an "ASFN Friendly" sign that said it was "Featuring Ouchie and Cheese" - why didn't you come say hello?

we had a very cool philly fan in front of us. had on his commemorative superbowl eagles jersey. was pretty knowledgeable. kept saying "wow" at the noise. agreed that we got too conservative on the last drive. congratulated us after the game.

and we have some pretty rude fans ourselves. there was an elderly eagles couple sitting in the row in front of us right on the aisle. all game long people that passed them by were harassing them. i mean, in their faces. i was disgusted. one piece of trash chick made me want to punch her in her white trash gut. terrible. show some class.

Heck, I would've had I seen it!

that place was a zoo ... I have never seen the great lawn so packed! we got there at 9.45am and it was packed. I was wearing my retro 89 jersey - which I removed the name "Boston" from :)

I could go on a 5 paragraph diatribe about Eagles fans. I've never met one that was classy and if classy ones do exist those guys ruined it for the rest of you. Heck I've met classy Raiders and Cowboys fans if you can believe it
