But all the Wizards got for their effort was a loss and some bad news -- Jerry Stackhouse said after the game he plans to sit out the remainder of the season to rest his ailing left knee. Stackhouse has missed most of the season with a bad right knee and said he returned too early, forcing his left knee to overcompensate.

I honestly don't think that Stack is worth that much in the wins column; the player the Wizards have really missed this year is Gilbert Arenas.

With or without Stack, I doubt that Washington is going to be catching up with Phoenix, so from our perspective it's kind of irrelevant.

Areanas scored 35 against the Lakers.
