The biggest positional battle this spring for Notre Dame football is who will take over the quarterback position now that Riley Leonard will be moving on to the NFL.

Head coach Marcus Freeman was adamant that the next Irish quarterback was already on the roster, and he is giving a fair shake to all of the combatants for the position. While I believe that Steve Angeli’s experience will ultimately win him the job, you can’t discount the rest of the group that includes CJ Carr, Kenny Minchey, Anthony Rezac and true freshman Blake Hebert.

It will be quite a battle for who will take the first snaps of the season, and since practices have already begun, the Notre Dame official social media account has teased us with some reps of each of the quarterbacks.
