Today was one of the biggest days for soon-to-be drafted Notre Dame football players, as the Irish held their annual Pro Day.
Multiple players participated, and some did not if a full compacity, but will get an opportunity later to showcase their talents for the NFL draft scouts. The ones that were able to workout today put up some pretty impressive numbers.
Check out below some of the highlights of each of the Notre Dame players that participated in this year’s Pro Day.
A total of 17 players participated, and while not all of them did everything, there were plenty of highlights from the day. Multiple players have improved their draft stock, which was the exact goal for each of them coming into the day. Now let’s get to the real highlights.
This is a great number, as Clark would have placed third among the NFL combine participants. His strength is showing NFL teams that he can handle the bigger wide receivers at the next level, and this should help his draft stock.
Another draft prospect who helped himself was Collins, whose broad jump would have been good for fifth best at the combine. This drill is all about explosiveness, and Collins is showing that he has plenty of it.
This result would have tied Oben for fourth at the combine, although multiple players ahead of him would have had better numbers. It was still a great showing for the defensive end, as his strength will help him at the next level.
Just one back from Clark’s performance, Morrison was already viewed as an early round pick, but this helped solidify that. While he didn’t do much more as he’s still recovering from hip surgery, he’ll get a later chance to run for teams and improve his stock even more.
Another number that would have put Collins among the top at the combine, this was an impressive jump for the wide receiver. Again, Collins’ explosiveness was showcased with this test.
While a bit lower than Collins number, Harrison still showed plenty of explosiveness with this solid vertical. He’s trying to show teams that he’s more than just a great returner, and has the potential to make a team due to his versatility also at receiver.
Leonard was on point during the throwing portion of the Pro Day, as On3’s Tyler Horka reported that he completed 62 of 66 passes. It’s safe to say that the Irish quarterback has solidified his draft stock, and should get picked up by a team. He’d be the first Notre Dame quarterback drafted since Ian Book in 2021.
This was a very solid 40-yard dash from Kiser, as he once again is showing that he’s more of a complete linebacker than many people believe. This should open some eyes of NFL staff’s to where he will get picked.
Many wondered how well Watts would run, and this number is good enough to help his stock. While it wasn’t one of the best numbers compared to his peers, Watts film will show that not only can he play at the next level, but can be very successful.
