In a primetime battle on Saturday night, the Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks put on an early show for fans in attendance at Chase Center. Following a flurry of offensive fireworks in the opening minutes, Jimmy Butler ended the first quarter with fireworks of his own.
While it's usually Steph Curry's job to launch a deep jumper at the buzzer, Butler took over on Saturday night in San Francisco. With seconds ticking off the clock, Butler launched a 37-foot jumper from beyond the arc that rattled off the backboard and in for a buzzer-beating triple to end the first quarter.
In the first half against the Knicks, Butler recorded nine points and four assists in 15 minutes as the Warriors held a 54-50 lead going into the halftime locker room.
