I'm thinking of getting tickets to the first two NLDS games (they win whenever we're there!).

Any idea about the times of the games? I don't think I can get out of work if they're daytime games. Hoping for late afternoon/night games !!

Go Diamondbacks !!

MLB playoff games are almost always at night because they want to get ratings. The only daytime games will be on the weekend

Gambo said if we play the Cubs, our home games will be during the day. But that's Gambo, who knows.

Sweet !!

I was planning on buying a pair to each game anyway.

Worst case - I don't think I'd have a problem finding someone else to go if I couldn't make it.

:D

Faxing my orders in tomorrow !! :jedi:

:bang:

Yeah - my order sheets say "Could be day games."

I could always ditch work, go, and hope I don't get screen time ala Pariah. :D

"The Mad Scientist" has gotten the D'backs into the post-season. Congratulations to Bob Melvin, the coaches and the players.

Brian Webb winning his 18th while not having his best stuff.

Papa Grande making it interesting in the 9th, of course, before locking it up and remaining the best closer in the league.

Stephen Drew getting solid with the bat when it matters most, in addition to his super defense.

Mark Reynolds showing that his RBI slowdown was a fluke, rather than his clutch start and finish.

Chris Snyder emerging as a solid catcher and hitter.

Conor Jackson for his solid hitting.

Tony Clark for his solid hitting, fielding and leadership.

Next the Division championship.

And on and on.

no way in hell does MLB have a media/ratings darling like the Cubs during the day - that's prime-time all the way.

if we get the Cubbies, I'm going to Game 3 in Chicago!

Great game...nice to see them work their way out of trouble in the seventh (I think it was the seventh).

I'm not a huge baseball fan...I love the pennant races and the playoffs....but I really like watching this young team play like they aren't that young.

In 01, a number of postseason games were day games, or late afternoon starts to suit the East Coast viewers -- I went to all of the home games, but sometimes there were a LOT of empty seats. Maybe they've refigured the playoffs -- they are stretched out a bit more.

Well, two or three years ago, some of us predicted that 2007 would be our next likely trip to the postseason, based on our farm system, but not expecting us to get very far -- I guess that's still my notion, they'll need some seasoning for the bright future. But for now .... WOOOHOOO!

Any playoff experience they gain will be HUGE for the team's future. No matter what happens from now on, I'll be happy with it.

Don't get me wrong I still want them to win but like I said the experience of this team will be big for the future as something to build off of

Congrats to the team and staff. A great accomplishment. Saved it for the very end, but I will admit that I shared a tear with them.

Forget all the stats, forget all the numbers. This is a special team, and a special year. Enjoy every second of this!

In one of those interesting wrinkles of life, BK Kim finally did something to help us out by picking up the win against the Mets.

The season has been a success and let's hope it keeps going for awhile. For next year, let's hope they sign or trade for a #2,#3 starter.

Just getting a healthy Big Unit back could take care of that need. You always want more pitching but with the lack of pitching league wide, you'd have to give up the farm to get a decent pitcher (or spend a small fortune in FA)
