How many people can say that they have rooted for a team that has a HOF player that is also one of the best human beings ever put on the planet? Just pure class, decency, humility, humbleness, compassion, empathy, and understanding that there is always more that can be learned and that while no one is perfect, everyone should be treated with respect. I love that I can be proud to tell my kids about Fitz without even talking about football.

Just finished watching the end of the Football Life for Larry Fitz. Amazing what he has done. Loved the part where he gave the ball of the first and only TD pass that Bartel had and even had a pic of the ball hand off and framed it for him. Bartel even cried talking about it. That's cool right there.

I would like to add, as a Cardinals fan, we have all watched all Larry Fitzgerald has given this league. Being on the Cardinals he spent most of his career, especially early on, in obscurity.

This also being the age of the internet, were highlights and plays are not really shown on TV, a lot of amazing plays, and feats of athleticism are missed.

Fitzgerald has at least one play a game where I find myself yelling at the TV "Tell me he caught that!"

We are the select few that have seen it all. Sometimes it is a 5 yard slant that is his best catch of the night.

I said the same thing with Anquan Boldin when he was here. That it is unfortunate that so many missed what he did when he first came in the league. Some of the plays he made were unreal.

When all is said and done, playing on the outside, playing the slot, blocking, his hands, his ability to get the jump ball, etc., etc. He is the best all around wide receiver to ever play the game.

He is missing only 1 thing on his resume: He didn't give his life for his country by joining the military and our war on terrorism. But I guess most would find it is hard to live up to Pat Tillman.
