The Seattle Seahawks chose Simon in the fifth round, with the 138th overall pick, of the 2013 NFL Draft. On August 27, 2013, the Seahawks placed Simon on the reserve/physically unable to perform list.[2] The Seahawks would win Super Bowl XLVIIIafter they defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8. Next season, the Seahawks made it back to the Super Bowl. Simon got to play inSuper Bowl XLIX due to an injury teammate Jeremy Lanesuffered in the game.

On September 13, 2016, Simon was released by the Seahawks.[3]

no, I wonder how long before they have to process that transaction (like end of day and it's reported tomorrow)

I also wonder if they send Bethel to IR to see if his foot can fully heal

Wouldnt be a bad idea to give him 8 weeks if he is struggling on punt coverage too.

I saw at least two instances where Bethel pulled up after a punt/kickoff and he hunched over and grimaced. He's definitely playing through some pain...

Desperation

Seems Keim is building LOB West out here with all the tall 6'1+ corners.

Simon hasn't played in over a year.. The guy has only been in the league for three years and people (pundits) label him a "veteran"? Let's see if this veteran can beat our converted CB

No Seahawks fans were concerned about losing him. He is good at getting burned and getting penalized, but physically - he is great

I bet he is better than Williams and his one year experience

Have you seen him play since Edelman embarrassed him in the SB?

I think him & Brandon Williams are equal if anything. Awful pickup.

I know people might be tired of my Harlan Miller posts, but there's no way he could be worse than them two. He doesn't have the physical traits like them, but he has the technique, & that will expand your career than just relying on athleticism.

Apparently the coaches disagree and I have no idea why as I havent seen anything out of him.

Obviously he had a pretty awful game at the stadium out here......

The guy is athletic and talented, but is constantly injured. Aggressive player with a lot of fight, but just had never progressed.

For a while you could justify it with the injuries. Raw player who couldn't get in the practice time to get better, but he had a decent off season for availability but was awful in the PS games.

Then this last week he was only able to practice 1x and was inactive. That appears to be the last straw.

As soon as he was cut I figured he'd end up here. Who knows, maybe he'll stay healthy and put it together. Definitely worth the shot. I just wouldn't gamble or invest long term on it

But he almost didn't play in 2 seasons
I wont be surprised if next week he is waived

Had a year long toe issue last year. But, if he's healthy now this could be a steal for the Cardinals.

Didn't like to see Lamar Louis cut (quad injury)---we needed him on STs. Hopefully he can get healthy and return at some point.
