Kevin Kolb is headed to the desert. And he'll most likely be there for a long time.

The Philadelphia Eagles sent the quarterback to the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday in exchange for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and an second-round draft pick, NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi reported.

The Eagles later confirmed the deal and said they were sending a 2012 second-round pick to Arizona.

Did we give them our 2nd 2012 and get their 2nd in 2013 or something? Is it a typo? I cant see us swapping second rounds before the season starts lol. Its like they would be banking on us to be worse than them. Any info?

I've heard the pick going to the Eagles is conditional. Could be that the Cards and Eagles swap picks conditionally, such that Philly gets the earlier pick regardless of the two teams' records...

this really does change the deal to an extent for me, a conditional swap of the earlier pick makes this trade pretty good if that is the case...can't believe it though
