Screw Daryl Washington. He isn't playing because of his own poor choices.

I think we should know something............. anything about what the NFL's decision is regarding his status. As far as we know he's clean and there should be some decision. He deserves that because he's worked hard to get back to this point.

I'm guessing if that was all true, something would have been announced by now.

Clean or not, he is still going to be suspended for the domestic violence. He won't be suiting up anytime soon.

He can only be punished as the CBA allowed at the time (see Hardy, Greg) so that means 2 games. If he has a long suspension its likely for yet another substance abuse violation.

Collinsworth mentioned in the game that DW never made it back but didn't want to get into that long story. To me it sounded like inside the NFL, it's known that he's not coming back. But I could also be completely mis-reading what he said.

I do not think you are misreading anything. That is exactly what he said and I thought the same thing.

For a color commentator, it's a long story to tell from star to finish since most NFL fans don't know the situation and would have to be told everything from the beginning. This is not like deflate gate in which the entire free world knows every aspect of the case..

Sowell looked terrible. Humphries was not much better. Watford I thought looked OK but not great at RT. But then he was going against the 3rd stringers.

Watford was actually going against the 1st stringers for a bit in the 3rd quarter. He was doing a solid job on Mack. Looked like an actual RT unlike Sowell.

Now why Oakland left their starting D in for most of the 3rd? I don't know.

The league office is sitting on their collective butts and doing nothing but being lazy. D-Waste is needed badly, but we can't make Goddell do anything. How he still has his job is becoming a mystery.

We don't need Daryl Washington. You can argue we need someone competent and good to fill that roster spot.

Yeah, it seems tremendously unlikely that DW met the terms of his suspension and everyone is just twiddling their thumbs. Something is going on.

My guess? The NFL wants to suspend him for life because they think he did something wrong with the terms of reinstatement. And, DW and the NFLPA are appealing that.

It's typical for the 1st string to play the 1st series after halftime so Oakland's starters were in for all of Stanton's TD drive. The protection on that drive was much better than the 1st string & Watford held his own against Khalil Mack.

According to Arians interview on 98.7 today, Sowell is moving back to LT for the Denver game & Watford will start at RT.

I just can't buy the "NFL is being lazy" theory. We've seen guys fight HARD against unfair punishments with Greg Hardy and Brady, but we haven't heard a PEEP out of Washington or anyone from the NFLPA here. That silence speaks volumes to me on who's in the wrong here. If Washington really had a problem with all of this, we'd know about it by now.

As much of a moron s DW is off the field, he is more than competent and good on it. There is really no way to argue that DW at full strength wouldn't greatly improve the team.

Has any reporters been able to contact him or his agent for comment? They know what is going on.
