IMO, I think he is a pretty terrible punter. Most of his kicks are very short and not a ton of hang time resulting in good returns.

While somewhat agreeing - most and very is an exaggeration.

On the other hand, Graham has been good at downing it inside the 20 yard line.

Graham was excellent for us b/c he is adept at downing punts inside the 10. However, if we move away from Kurt to a ball control offense that's not going to be shortening the field so often, where our punter needs to boom the ball, Graham is not a good fit for that due to his lack of hang time.

A groin injury hampered him during the playoffs.
He was looking alright before it.
Here's to hoping he's better.

Ben Graham's coffin corner punt pinned the Steelers back into their own goal line which set up the defense for a safety that sparked the comeback. Next time you want to call him terrible, think of that. His distance and hang time will be better when his groin heals. Not to mention Neil Rackers is comfortable with him as holder, which is a big bonus.

I felt his hang-time was pretty good. I also feel he has a slight advantage to how the ball drops in on the receiver.

It just seems to drop like a rock straight down on them, rather than at a slight angle. I wanted Lechler, but that was a pipe dream. It's not that I don't like Graham, I think he will be a great punter for us, I just saw Lechler as heads and tails above the rest.

I thought he was decent... maybe we have had absolutely terrible punters ever since Player was cut that he is looking like a pro-bowl punter

I think we have no idea what a quality punter looks like because we've only seen mediocrity. If you ate Wheaties for breakfast your whole life and some dude walks by with a donut, your oblivious to what you're missing

Wheaties are delicious.
Let the dude keep his doughnut, my breakfast helps me poop.

I have a lot of respect for Graham. After his groin injury he kept punting and after he punted you could see he almost passed out from the pain. It made me hurt to watch him punt. He took one for the team and I'm sure Whiz and company remember that.
