No, I mean the overboard reactions towards players/coaches that have a bad game, even though they didn't have bad games prior.
Or the couple play calls that Kliff gets wrong, ignoring the ones that he gets right.
Or not being able to look at the season as an improvement overall from either initial expectations or our current status.

Or many more I don't have the time/desire to bring up in the middle of a poker tournament...
That’s not Jekyll and Hyde, that’s just people disagreeing with you.

Yes u are right with the use(wrong) of jekyll and Hyde(people with double personalities) but he probably referring to people jumping on the bandwagon with and then jumping off as soon as the things are getting uglier
So . . . normal human reactions to positive and negative stimuli. Got it.

Exactly, the overreactions on the board are shocking, but at least they're good for a laugh.

P.s. I'm jelly that you have chips and a chair. Love tournaments although I don't get to play them much at all. Some day when I retire I will.

Playing from my laptop. I wouldn't be bothered if I was sitting in an live tournament. Player reads and all that.

Chiefs are worse than us.
Have the been worse than us for years? Or have they missed the playoffs or their division by one game during that time? By my memory they have won their division comfortably every year and been to the SB twice.

You can overcome penalties when your a very good team. You can't when you are above average like we are.

Yes, but when you hire/draft raw, you are doing so knowing that you will have to give more time than normal.

I think the transition from worst team in the NFL, to 5 wins, to 8 wins and then 11 wins and a playoff appearance is significant progress.
This. Do people really believe that a historically bad team in a tough division, with an owner that most here view as below average at best, and either the GM that most people here call a fat incompetent drunk buffoon, or a newly hired unproven GM, or no GM, after firing the young coach who just took them from worst in the league to the playoffs, could attract a BETTER coach?!

Chiefs are worse than us.
Actually they are not. They finished 5 spots better than we did.

My point is that in 2019 we finished 5th worst. 2020 we were THE worst. 2021 we finished 4th worst.

In that time we have improved our wins significantly, but choked away the playoffs last year, and choked away the division title this year.

It stands to reason that if reducing penalties and mental mistakes was a priority...we might have improved in that area as well, and most likely have won more games.

My stance is that consistently being one of the most penalized teams in the league shows a lack of preparation and mental toughness, and that a team that consistently commits that high number of penalties year in year out is going to have a very difficult time being a perennial playoff team.

Personally I don’t judge another person’s fandom based on MY way of rooting for a team. I don’t mind the so-called dark sider folks or the lollipops and rainbows folks. I can be both at times any given game, heck on any given PLAY.

I see it that we watch the games and post on ASFN during the games, speaking our opinions ( which are toxic at times), so we are all fans. Each in his own way.

It’s all good to me.

Well I’m going to enjoy our first playoff since 2015, I will probably get all worked up and down and all around, praise, complain, hope I don’t break the tv with my remote again, that would suck too. I do know this, cards have the talent and ability to compete and beat any team any Sunday. Even 4 more in a row to win our first Super Bowl. That has not often been the case.

fear that bird, so I’m a fanatic, deal with it. clint Eastwood in unforgiving Said: don’t shoot at me, bury Ned right, cut up or otherwise harm no ****** or I’ll come back, kill you, your wife, your family, burn your damn house down. haha

He's just mad that his Lakers suck again. :)
Still a playoff team and only 15 months removed from our 17th world championship. Yep. Totally mad. Wish we hadn't mortgaged our young and talented roster to win that last title and instead had continued to build a perennial winner, but such is life as a fan.

Excellent post.

When you compare totals from the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons, we are undeniably on an upward trajectory, and the pinnacle of the mountain is in sight. It only makes sense to give this group of leaders at least one more year to see if they can get us to the top.
What progress do you see in our yearly 2nd-half swoons? What part of us never winning a clinching game out of, what, 7 or 8 tries, means the pinnacle of the mountain is in sight? There's progress, then there's progress.

If you read my posts, I've acknowledged that the late-season performance and clinching-game issues are both problems. Problems that are up to our leadership to solve, or, they don't deserve to continue to be our leaders.

But that's one exciting thing about Monday. A win vs. LA, and most of the concerns about these two issues are allayed.

Also, looking at the big picture, the pinnacle is the Superbowl, and we are in the playoffs. Thus, I think the pinnacle is within sight. I think that's fair, but if you don't, cool, although it's not worth a lot of bandwidth to debate.

I agree. Dallas I believe is the worse yet they are in the playoffs as well as the Cardinals, Chiefs etc.

A Mistakes may cost you a game. Multiple mistakes will definitely cost you a game.

This is the pressure this team faces. We NEED to play a mistake free game to overcome any talent deficiencies.

0-6 if you count the chance to win the division, which they blew on Sunday.
I do. They didn't win. The 0-5 graphic was during the game so the 0-6 makes sense.

0-6 is ugly enough, but it’s even uglier considering 3 of those came at home against a bad Niners team with a third string QB and a JV lineup last year, and this year against terrible Lions team and a bad Seattle team (at home again).

And that’s not even mentioning the Rams with Wolford at QB last year or the Colts down half their team with Covid (at home again) this year.

The one that hurts the most is the Lions, obviously. The Cards made Wolford look like a world beater so that one stings too, but we were pretty depleted as well.

I don't have a big problem losing to the Colts or Seattle. Seattle was just a different team the last 3 weeks of the season than they were the first 14.

I do have a problem with losing your last 5 games in a row at home. I'd be floored if there are more than a handful of teams that have ever accomplished that and still made the playoffs. I have been a KK apologist, but if he doesn't improve that stat, he will be fired.

The Niners last year is what hurt me the most. They were literally on their string QB, with just a raft of injuries to other major stars and they just pimp slapped us in our own house.

The Detroit game was just a joke and I already started having last season’s deja swoon creeping in. The Niners game was my first smack in the mouth that Kliff and Kyler buckle bad in big time games as Cardinals.
