Web space help

I post on a few message boards where we have to give a URL for the avatar we want to use, instead of just uploading it like we do here.

What places can i set up a quick webpage for that will let me direct link. I did the geocities/yahoo thing, but after like 10 min, i got a big fat red X where my avatar should be, on the messageboard.

I know direct linking or whatever takes up bandwith, but there's gotta be somewhere that will let me do it - i mean its just a freaking 100 x 100 avatar!
