I heard tell of a place in Manhatten that makes something called "salt ramen."

Supposed to be super good.

Had it?

Salumi is the place owned by Batali's father, right? Worth the trip. WIld Ginger sounds interesting. I'm currently running the kitchen at fatty Crab, doing Malaysian inspired cuisine. A lot of their menu sounds very familiar to me.

Oh, and Mulli, never heard of it....

There is a place in Seattle with a killer coconut cream pie. Can't remember the name.

I just hollowed out and stuffed 30 jalapeños with cream cheese wrapped them in bacon and smoked them for an hour. Best poppers ever.

Wild Ginger is a great restaurant in seattle (which doesn't have a shortage of options) ..... wish I remember the place where I had a shredded smoked salmon bbq sandwich - good god was it tasty

heu - can never go wrong with ABTs .... did you stuff with just cream cheese, or did you throw in meat and other flavorings?

last week my wife joined me for lunch and we went to Salvadoreno - central american style food .... the Pupusas rock - they are corn tortilla (about as thick as a pancake and near that consistency) stuffed with a combination of meat, cheese and beans ..... the honduras style fried chicken was right on as well .... but Pupusas were new to me and I'm sure we'll meet again soon

I did a couple with shrimp and no cream cheese this weekend and they were solid. The cream cheese ones were just plain cream cheese but after smoking them it was the bomb. I love smokers, they are hands down the best way to cook almost anything.

yeah - really a lot of good things that can be put together

I highly recommend both Smoke & Spice and Sublime Smoke as cook books ...... so many interesting twists in there and many of them aren't all day cooks

the only thing I don't like about it is how labor intensive it is ...... main reason I don't use mine as often as I should
