Kansas for sure.

You don't think we can take down KSU? Our first real challenge of the season, but we've played Toledo and Central Michigan better than ranked Perdue did. BTW, I'd say UConn is the most likely to lose their undefeated record.

Surely Kansas can take KSU down. I forced myself to pick someone. I am more impressed by KSU beating Texas in Austin, than Kansas beating Toledo, FIU, Central Michigan and SE Missouri. Maybe it is a coin toss, but they are playing in Manhattan.

I forgot about U Conn. being undefeated, but there is no way they lose this week.
They have a bye. :D They play Oct 13 @ Virginia according to ESPN CFB schedule.

Go Jayhawks. Knocked K State down and the pollsters punished them.

First time ranked since 1996

First time to beat a ranked opponent on the road and to go 5-0 since 1995

First time to beat KSU at Manhattan since 1989.

3 games later and we're still sporting a "-0"

Yup. And still getting little respect. I'd love to see them win the North division and upset the undoubtedly heavily-favored South division champ.

Wouldn't that just be one of the coolest things to happen Texas and Oklahoma?

What kind of respect do you want? We are already #4 in the BCS, and that may be generous. That is, unless you are talking about KU

Oh, quit dreaming! You know as well as I, everybody outside of Kansas expects you to lose at least 3 of your last 5 games - @Aggies this week, @Oklahoma St. and at home to Missouri.

On the other hand, everybody is pulling for you, including me.

Respect? Nope. You ain't got it yet. A steenkeeng joke of a schedule so far, with only a 19-14 escape against a mediocre Colorado team, gets you high ranking by default but no respect. That has to be earned.

Firstly, dreamcastrocks isn't even talking about KU, he's talking about ASU. I'm pretty sure I'm the only KU guy here. Oddly enough your post still kinda applies, only replace Aggies, OSU, and Mizzou with Cal, USC, and Oregon. Least that's what their saying.

As for KU being expected to lose: it must all be Kansas people betting on the games because they seem to be favored.

Col isn't mediocre at home, remember altitude. Same with Den Broncos HFA. Wanna talk weak, how about the whole of the Big Televen. tOSU has played whom exactly? Their big win is @ 2-5 Wash or home against a joke of an MSU team by 7 points. #1 team huh, and KU has the joke of a schedule?

My post was directed at ASU (hence the #4 ranking), but I threw in the KU at the end just in case, because I wasn't sure which one Skkorp was talking about. ASU has 3 tough games left on its schedule. I don't expect Kansas to end the season undefeated.

Ugh. Misread two different posts this time. And no I wasn't drinking or on drugs. Getting old sucks. Mea culpa.

DWKB, agree with you on Ohio State's schedule so far. Penn State will stomp on that #1 ranking this week, I hope.

The point made that Kansas and ASU are in similar positions seems valid, looking at the remaining schedules of the two schools. If a double miracle were to happen and both came through the remaining games with just 1 loss each, the BCS ramifications would be interesting indeed.

And Wally, you must be my age, at least. Nolan Cromwell? Blast out of the past. I remember him playing QB and almost single-handedly pulling Kansas up out of football dregdom. Didn't he have a good career as a safety in the pros? With Baltimore Colts? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Nolan was an All Pro Safety for many years with the L A Rams.
