Not a surprise. I called this a couple of weeks ago. Quigley was ranked dead last among active punters.

So Quigley forces a fumble and Keim repays him by cutting him. quigley a punts weren't spectacular but his hang time at least in person seemed eons longer than Butler. I just don't get this at all.

I don't get why our blowhard coaches and Keim, whom I thought to be a smart man, insist on having a huge disadvantage at such a crucial position that puts us in bad field position all game long. While Quigley wasn't a world beater, it was clearly evident that his punts are better. Source: The naked eye of any casual football fan!

The "better holder" argument is hot garbage. Normally Punters shouldn't really matter that much, but my optimism for us sneaking into the playoff has faded away when hearing that horrible news.

There is no doubt Butler owns some pics that would embarass Arians, Keim or a member of the Bidwill family.

Our odds to sneak into a wildcard spot have just shrunk significantly. Can't overcome bad field position all game long. All because of a schoolyard level Punter. Might just go for it on every 4th down shorter than 10 yards, result wouldn't be much different.

hang time was the only improvement and I would keep that improvement IMO

Quigley had a higher total average, a higher net average, essentially identical inside 20%, was just fine on the holds.

Unreal, it's not like Butler never has a punt blocked either.

Is it really possible that there aren't any better punters on planet earth who aren't employed than these two guys? Is it really that difficult?

Because the Cardinals seem more than willing, nare I say eager to employ Drew Butler, and he is TERRIBLE.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm oversimplifying the position but I cant help it, everytime I watch him suck I think; HOW? How is it possible that we cant pay someone to kick a football better than this...
