Great pick, will be moved inside to OG and this was my third rated OG for the Cardinals. Converted LT, is very quick and agile blocking at the 2nd level ala our running scheme, and projects to being a great pulling OG. I wanted him in the 2nd but thought Massie was more of a need and we get him in the 5th.

I would not be shocked to see him starting at an OG spot by the end of the season. I really like this pick.

Even worse.

So much for 5th round picks.

Hightower is coming off of a serious injury, teams are naturally going to be hesitant. I'm sure he'll at least land with the Patriots or Redskins.

There is absolutely no way Hightower should be considered a failed 5th round pick, just the odd man out with Beanie and Williams. He left his mark on this franchise. He made that 4th and 1 run and took the screen on 3rd & 8 to the house in the NFC championship game, so he did his part getting us to the Super Bowl. Even if he was a mediocre back for us, mediocre is a giant step ahead of everyone we saw after Marcel Shipp's decent 2003 season.

To me, he's the guy who was instrumental in our Super Bowl run and was the guy who got our run game back on track. Don't know what more you could ask from a 5th round pick. Wish him a healthy, productive return to the league this year.

For a cardinal rb he was totally successful.

23 TD's in 3 years (reg season). 4.8 ypc his last year, 4.2 the year before.

Plus the above.

I'd take those numbers from Ryan Williams as the 2nd back and smile.

For a 5th round choice if he hadn't had a case of fumblitis he could have been all that plus a bag of chips and the box of chocolate. Damn I just gave myself a case of the munchies. I hate when I do that! :)

Had the best 20 yard short shuttle time in the draft :)

Wrestling background and played in a pro style offense. Which are also pluses.

Although I liked some skill position players better I like grabbing OL depth in the draft for a change.

I'm really happy that we're getting more athletic on the O-line. We also needed some talent to develop inside so we don't have to keep scooping up 30 yr old FA guards. It's been a great day so far.

Nice pick, adds depth to our OL. Can play OT & OG but projected best as OG.

This is definitely the area in the draft where the Cards focus on that "winner" type player. Based on the quick scan of his bio that Bach posted I noticed that he was asked to assume a leadership role as a sophmore. That screams leadership etc qualities that the FO loves.

Again---the new breed of OL for the Cardinals---strong, but light on his feet, tremendous short area quickness---versatile---it wouldn't surprise me if the Cardinals actually try him inside on defense---this kid is the same size as David Carter.

Great pick, will be moved inside to OG and this was my third rated OG for the Cardinals. All this. I picked him on the draft day thread right before the pick was announced! Great value pick for a 5th rounder.

We need to stockpile a few of those suckers! Quick, has got size and VERSATILE. A leader.

Washington Pro Day: Seattle Seahawks' assistant offensive line coach Pat Ruel worked out Senio Kelemete (6-3 1/2, 309). Kelemete started his final two seasons for the Huskies at left tackle but is viewed by most as a better fit inside at guard. Kelemete looked good at 309 pounds after playing closer to 290 this season, showing the balance, quick feet and improved power (25 reps today after 21 at the Combine) to handle the transition. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

Kids a leader. Wait till Lott gets a hold of him! He'll be starting or playing extensively next year.

Not impressed with him at OT at all. He might make an okay guard. I see him as a backup only for at least a couple of years. He does move pretty well and does try hard. He doesn't have the size and strength that I would prefer for a guard. He would fit Denvers system better.

Not unless Colledge or Snyder get hurt and in the event that this should happen, Baptist moves over from backup LOT.

With Lutui gone werent we missing a Samoan on the team?

You always need at least one of them on your team if you want to be good.
