Well, at least we know who the free cap space is reserved for..

Within the next 6 months this team will sign Rackers to the biggest contract ever given to a kicker. No doubt!

After 4 games:
16 for 16
50 points
14 Touchbacks (He lead the league with 26 last season)

Dammmm! That guy can flat kick the ball. He is about a 90% sure fire pro bowler.

Paying a K 2m+ year is a scary thought! :hairraise

If you have the best kicker in football you pay him. Paying him 2mil is nothing compared to letting him go. We still have 5-10 mil of unused CAP money. What better way to spend it. Right now he is worth more than two JJ Arringtons.

Well, I'm finally onboard with John. We talk about how we should emulate the Patriots as far as an organization is concerned. The cap hit for their kicker is over 2 mill.

Yes but they are paying a kicker 2m to win Super Bowls! That I would gladly do as well...

Rackers is awesome.

I don't know if I can stomache kickoffs to the 15 and FGs hitting the uprights ever again.

One thing I love about Rackers is that he is always one of the first players on the sideline to congratulate someone for doing something well. He seems like a great teammate and brings a lot of excitement.

I don't think coaches understand the value of a good kicker. The kicking game is worth +/- 2 games a year. IMO>

If it wasn't for him last night the game would have ended in a tie...

With that said, we need to lock him up. As someone said above, NE pays their kicker to win Super Bowls. No place better than to start with him.

I agree he is a good Kicker but do you think he is the only kicker that could have made any of his six field goals .:koolaid: :D . I guess if we did not have a field goal kicker we would have to punt from the 20 yard line . Man that would kill Players average .
