McKennah Orth of West Bend East gymnastics was the winner of last week's Milwaukee Journal Sentinel high school Piggly Wiggly athlete of the week poll.

Orth earned 15,554 votes out of 26,393 total votes cast.

The senior earned her nomination by becoming the first athlete from her program to win a WIAA individual state gymnastics title with her all-around score of 37.183. Her performance was led by a score of 9.65 on the floor, the fourth-best winning score in that event in WIAA state history.

Connor Hillig of Brookfield Stars boys hockey finished second with 5,439 votes. Also nominated were Kaylee Frank of Elkhorn Area gymnastics, Erica Miner of Oak Creek/Whitnall gymnastics and Collin McDowell of Arrowhead boys wrestling.
