West Ottawa has been selected as a winner of the 2024 Fields of Excellence Award by Pioneer Athletics.
Pioneer, the country's leading manufacturer of athletic field marking paint and equipment selects a winner each year taken from high schools, colleges and parks & rec departments from all over the country.
"West Ottawa is very proud to have our facilities once again recognized by Pioneer," West Ottawa Athletic Director Bill Kennedy said. "We have a tremendous grounds and facilities staff led by Tom Swifney and Jordan Foster who ensure that our athletes play on great fields every day. With a community that has supported the construction of new facilities in recent years this shows that once construction is over the work is not done."
West Ottawa has opened new facilities for football, soccer and lacrosse in the past two years and has updated many other facilities throughout the district.
