I don't mind saying some have played well, but it's just frustrating to see the "grass is always greener" mindset some people have here. For some reason, some people think "anyone but Peterson" is going to be an improvement, and I think they're going to be surprised at just how much worse #1 CB play can actually get, especially when picking through the 31+ year olds who are about to fall off the cliff for their position by age.

That I completely agree with, Solar. I actually wanted them to re-sign Peterson for that very reason. Sure, he can be upgraded, but I would have much preferred to do it with him still on the roster.

I've been harping on it, so probably me.

It's pretty obvious the Cowboys will select a corner, which already puts us at #2 assuming someone doesn't move up, and anyone even slightly thinking about their preferred corner will be able to look at us as a clear break point.

They are also on Watson’s list. Broncos, Panthers, 49ers, Pats and Bears monitoring the markets. Bears are too far back. I think Pats are comfortable with Jones and have watched Watson. 49ers in on Watson, Darnold and trade up. Broncos Watson and trade up. Panthers on Watson but I don’t think they love anyone to move up.

No. It is a really weird situation. That said, NFL GMs buy low on very talented players all the time so I am not going to pretend that it is out of the question.

I do believe this could lead to team like Denver and SF being more aggressive to move up or for SF, acquire Sam Darnold.

Watson has his own list to deal with these days and I wonder whether any team wants to share the spotlight until that is cleared up.
