I think he played some OT & Center at Houston. Could be wrong.

i still ay our best OL this year would've been:
LT-Thomas
LG-Brown
C-Johnson
RG-Lutui
RT-Davis :deadhorse2:

with the depth being Wells, Ross,Leckey, Gorin, E Brown, rookie. Gandy would not have been signed in this scenario.

I hope to God they leave Deuce where he is.....although, I will say this.....Deuce came to USC straight from Jr.College to fill in for the idiot Justice, and did a good job at RT....enough so that Matt won the Heisman that year.....with one of the toughest SOS in the country, and gave Matt enough time to torch the Sooners in the Orange Bowl for the outright National Championship.

Not bad for a guy straight out of JC who was able to step right in to arguably one of the best offenses in college football history.

I'm so sick of all this moving players around talk. Let a player get comfortable in a position and stay there. By moving 1 player and having another fill that other players recently vacated spot you are creating an instance where you have 2 players learning the offense in a new position. So throw what ever little continuity we have right out the window.

I couldn't agree with you more on this subject. Lutui did good at the RG position. So let him stay there.

Crazy Canuck, the middle position of the offensive line in AMERICAN football is spelled c e n t e r. Centre is a steenking French Canadian hockey position and a British word.

Duh, I'm Canadian and speak and write the Queen's English as well as French.

I do understand American, however - at least the written form.

(I hope the rumour that you have a sense of humour, is true. If not, in the immortal words of Hall of Fame centre, Jean Beliveau of the Montréal Canadiens - "mange la merde" :D

The coaches seem intent on going with Ross come hell or high water so unless he gets someone killed, he will start.

I am 100% against moving Lutui anywhere...1000% against it. Can the Cards not just leave a suvvessful piece where it is instead of trying to move things around all the time? Lutui works reasonably well where he is...LEAVE HIM THERE!

Hey, Canuck, I speak French, having been taught by French nuns in several French schools en Maroc et Tunisie. What you call speaking French is an unrecognizable regional patois of separatist mumbo jumbo.

And it's not rumour, humour, or gouvernment, it's rumor, humor and government.

Sigh.:)

Why not move Lutui? That way, the ENTIRE line can be different!

I think the prior Oline coach, I can never remember how to spell his name so I just skip it, had them finally going in the right direction.

I don't blame the new regime for wanting to fiddle with the line, I would if I were them since the only honeymoon you'll get time to do it is in your first year.

Unfortuneately for us all, this almost gaurantees that we'll be frustrated this year, maybe they're right and it pays dividends later on but it will not do so early on, during that time I see frustration.

To me that was the value of Norm Chow, he didn't have one philosophy he was wedded to, he seems to be adaptive and that's handy if you want to win now, hiring the crew Bidwill and Graves did may turn out great but I think they're going to get some serious heartburn first if they expect the coaching light to come on right away.

I think Skorp is right now, I am beginning to believe that the rebuild is commencing, and again that's not stupid it just is what it is, in fact I think Whis may have hedged his bet and oversold to Bidwill just how fast he's going to turn this around knowing he gets a pass year one no matter what, that's smart for his part, however if he thinks fiddling with the line to the extent he seems to want to is conducive to winning now, he's possibly much greener than he seems as a coach.

Avec respect, mon chère, j'ai était éduqué par les Jesuits. Je comprend mais je ne parle pas en patois. Mon Français c'est la langues de Molière.

P.S. Given that the British Commonwealth (Great Britain, Canada, Australia, etc) and the 1-billion + people of India and Pakistan, speak and spell in the same fashion as me, I think I will continue to stand with the majority of English speakers who reference the Oxford Concise Dictionary, not Funk and Wagnall. :D

Brown's set at guard. I think moving him would be a questionable move, at best. Same with Wells at RT. Everything else is up in the air, however I'm pretty certain that Lutui is better off remaining at guard.

Family names are not translated. They are properly pronounced in their orginal form. Something certainly lost in America, given the bastardization of so many original French settlement names in the U.S. ;)

That's not an American thing. The English language translated lots of names into ugly, ugly "bastardizations".

Worst example... Cologne! WTF??? Where did a name like that comes from.

1. I agree 100%.

2. I guess moving around offensive linemen on paper like chess pieces is a good way to chew up chunks of time waiting for the draft; but it's kind of futile. Grimm & Co. are learning what they have. And they're going to continue watching and learning about the capabilities of each player during the minicamps. They'll probably move a few linemen around from time to time to see what they've got. And (taking WIZ's comments at face value) they'll decide who'll play where by training camp.

We can move players around our charts til the cows come home, but the coaches don't fully know what they have yet, so how can we?

The truth in the pudding will come out once they start hitting in TC and run plays at game speed ... then the weaknesses of the players in the wrong position will show .. and hopefully the staff is not blind to those areas like Denny was ...

You're right! It's certainly not limited to the U.S.
