It's my opinion that, no matter what team he has, Jim Tracy is not a Championship caliber Manager.
Just as Bobby Cox of the Braves, dominating the NL for a decade and leading his team (and the National League) to just one World Championship.
Some people are simply not cut out to excel at the next level.

I love the stability that Bob Melvin brings to the D'backs -- players know their roles, lineups are planned, there is communications between the Manager and his players.
But I wonder if two low-key guys like Mel and Jay Bell in the top two coaching spots is going to come back to haunt us.
Just as a free spirit like Bob Brenley had Melvin to provide stability and communications in the #2 role . . . Mel needs a bit of a free spirit as Bench Coach to offset his calm demeanor.
It's a basic rule of management. Historically, in successful companies, the Chairman and the President have different skills and personalities, regardless of which is in the top spot.
