The more we hear about the "slow" times from Suggs, if we do go in a different direction, what about this scenario. Draft Kennedy or Robertson with the #1. Eithier one would provide the run stopping capabilities we need and still collapse the pocket from the middle. In round 3, draft Antwan Peek to rush the passer on RDE, and Johnson at LDE. On running situations you would have from right to left-- Peek/Wakefield/Moore Bryant, Kennedy/Robertson, and KVb. Our LB's are adequate, and our secondary would improve dramatically with a consistent pressure on the QB. I would love to have Suggs, but I also see the need for a run stuffing, pocket collapsing DT. Its a tough decision, but I see more versatility from drafting a DT.

This is me trying to understand your line up.

running downs:

LDE KVB
LDT Kennedy (Robertson)
RDT Bryant
RDE Peak, Wakefield, Moore

Did I get this right?

For me it would be:

LDE KVB / Davis / Wakefield
LDT Kennedy (Robertson) / Tanner
RDT Tanner / Bryant
RDE Bryant / KVB

Passing downs:

LDE Johnson / KVB
LDT Bell / Robertson / Davis
RDT Bryant / Davis / Wakefield
RDE Peak / Johnson

I think it's going to one or the other. We're not going DL both in the 1st and 2nd. I'm certain that DL is the #1 option in the 1st, but Johnson at DE and Bell at DT have enough upside IMO not to draft another DL until the 4th (Taking CB and WR in the 2nd and 3rd). So if we get Suggs in the first, we take a two-gap DT in the 4th like Nick Eason, Clemson or Rashad Moore, Tennessee.
If we take Robertson/Kennedy in the 1st we need pure pass-rushing DEs (tweener types) in the 4th like Peeks or Banta-Cain.

The line up would then look like this:

Suggs in the 1st
LDE - KVB (Wakefield)
DT - Bryant (Eason/Moore)
DT - Bell/Tanner (Davis)
RDE - Suggs (Johnson)

Robertson/Kennedy in the 1st
LDE - KVB (Wakefield) - Johnson on passing downs
DT - Bryant (Bell)
DT - Robertson/Kennedy (Tanner, Davis)
RDE - Johnson (Peeks on passing downs)
