What do we need to know about the sale of the Boston Celtics? The Celtics recently announced that the storied ball club's current majority owners, Irv and Wyc Grousbeck, have elected to sell their shares of the team to what will be the group to take their place as majority owners helmed by businessman William Chisholm.
When will the deal be finalized? How will it affect the club's current quest to repeat as champs, and perhaps to found a dynasty beyond the current season? Could pricier players soon be on the move to save some money for the new owners? Will the Celtics stay in TD Garden long-term, or will they look to build their own arena? As you can see, there are a LOT of unanswered questions about the sale.
