What do you think of something along these lines for a Cardinal Draft?

Not really a fan of either of those drafts. I don't like Nix at all none of those Notre Dame guys impress me on defense. I just can't get that Alabama game out of my head. That was the most dominate I have ever seen an O-line they had two guys go over 100 yards and averaged almost 10 yards a carry I mean they just blew the ND defense off the ball like I have never seen. I don't want a WR that high either. It's the least of our problems yes I know it's sexy and there's always guys that want a WR no matter how the team is doing.

No to the 2nd one

Id take the 1st one with the exception of Cooks. Small and not a burner we need. Hes basically a Roberts clone on our team. Replace Cooks with Deone Bucannon and thats a nice draft

Dennard and Niklas are both solid values picks

I really like the first draft. Dennard will be a top CB in the league. Would be a great set of CBs with Peterson. Brandin Cooks is another pick I like. His speed is good but not great, however he makes up for it with superior route-running and hands. Also Troy Niklaus made an impression this year at Notre Dame. He is a physical blocker and can also go out and get the ball. Not as good receiver as the top few tight ends, but a much better blocker.

The second draft I would pass on.

Problem is there is NO way Garoppalo goes in the mid 3rd or 4th! Not a chance!!! He might even go mid to late 1st given the way many teams are starved for a big time QB.

This, and if Jimmy Garoppolo is there when we pick in the 2nd round (and I think he will be gone by then) and we do take him... it will personally make my entire draft because I really do feel he is a franchise QB :)

Good choices---I love Dennard. I love Cooks too, but don't see him making it to #52 (that one could be close enough, though).

At #116, however, neither S Jimmy Ward nor QB Jimmy Garoppolo will be available. Both players, imho, will be taken in the 2nd round, quite possibly before we pick at #52.

I've been watching some tape on Troy Niklas and he looks more awkward than i thought he would. Doesn't seem like a natural athlete---fights the ball some too. Not a great blocker---doesn't really sink his hips.

How about this draft:

Rashead Hageman

Kyle Van Noy

Zack Mettenberger( My favorite third round pick)

James Hurst

Tevin Reese

Colt Lyria

Cards grab Rodger Saffold and Chris Clemons in free Agency and lets roll. Go

Cards.

No to Saffold. He's always injured.

James Hurst

Yeah/Awesome

Tevin Reese

Meh, need more speed/

Colt Lyria

Don't think he is HB revisited. If he can stay clean then absolutely.

Don't want Saffold but will take Clemons as the right price.

Hate to tell you this but Reese is gonna be one of the fastest WRs in this draft! I've watched plenty of Baylor football & this kid can flat out jet!!! If we get him, he will scare the bejesus out of defenses ;) Hes gonna be this years TY Hilton IMO, though smaller. Unless we draft a speedster at WR in the 1st 3 rounds, BA is gonna be all over this youngster...he's a player.

I like this draft much better. Not a big fan of the free agent signings but really like the draft.
