What do you think of the new colors/logos/unis now?

Now that we're at the half way point of the season and everybody has had a chance to get used to the new style, how do you think they compare to the old purple and teal?

I think they look nice, but too ordinary. How many teams wear red now? Let me count...11 with some red on their uni's. I vote for Colangelo's colors, but a color change isn't enough for me to stop being a fan like some people who wrote to EVT.

people really wrote to the EVT and said they werent fans anymore because of the color change? Most teams change their colors or unifroms or logo to an extreme at some point. The SUNS added the orange unis that are the most popular and ditched the cool Sun, cardinals changed the bird, Nuggets have changed their colors and theme on the uniform many times, Houston astros used to have that crazy orange blue and yellow look, ny giants are playing with Red unis, Hawks changed their bird...

Sorry that is a lot of examples, but I dont understand... Do people cheer for the uniform colors or the team. Are the diamondbacks no longer the diamondbacks because they dont wear the dumb purple and teal colors anymore? Worst color scheme maybe ever.

Not exactly, they just said it wasn't their Diamondbacks and they used that as well as Gonzo as their big reasons. Come on, they don't realize Gonzo wasn't good last year and we have the best outfield prospects in the league? They forget that after that they brought back the best player to ever put on a Diamondback uniform? One of the writer's wrote one of those short, front page, paragraph columns on what the fans said too.

I would like them more if the black uni's were used and the red ones were the alternate Saturday uni's. Not many teams use black, definitely not 11.

I like them. I think the red and black are more classy than the purple and teal we had before. It seems as though they have sold alot of merchandise, as all the fans at the games seem to be wearing the new colors! I might have pushed for a little more orangey in the red to make them more unique though. It'd be a hard color to get right though, too much orange it and it would ugly!

I like them more than I did when they first came out. If I had my choice between these and the purple ones when the franchise first started I would've picked these. But I still don't like completely changing your color scheme after just 9 years.

I also much prefer the red/black combo to the various red/white looks. Tons of teams have red/white but no one uses red/black all the time.

Bottom line, if we're going to stay in the pennant race with the new uniforms, I'll like them more and more.

I for one love the new unis. At first I was apprehensive about the change but it's great to not be the only Diamondbacks fan wearing hats now. I know I must have been like one of the only straight guys to buy-and wear!- the purple home cap last year.

I hated it at first, mostly just because why change your stuff after only 9 years? I'm used to it now. My biggest complaint is how the red and white jerseys say "D-Backs" I haven't talked to a single person who likes that, its so damned lame. I wish they just said Arizona like the grey unis do. The grey unis they wear this year and the old purple alternate jerseys are my two favorites that they've ever worn (both say "Arizona" on the chest, maybe Im just a sucker for that).

If they had to change the colors and stuff, I wish they would've simplified the logos more as well. Both the A and the D are unnecessarily complex. Look at some great logos around the league: the Dodgers "LA", the Yankees and Mets "NY", the Royals "KC", etc. all very clean and simple. I think a red hat w/ a simple "A" on it (not sure of the color scheme, maybe "sonoran sand" surronded by black) in a simple font (maybe some like the old western fonts on the old Suns jerseys) would've been great.

I still wear both my purple A hat and red D hat with pride, but only because its my team. For instance, Im wearing a Royals cap right now just because I like the look of it, I doubt many out of towners will be doing that w/ the Dbacks merchandise.

I gotta agree with that. It would be like putting "O-Dawg" or "CoJack" on the back of players' jerseys.

I like the new jerseys better.. And I like the "D-Backs" on the front of the jerseys.. I like em all (new ones)..

Purple should never be a part of any sports jersey except basketball.. I bought next to zero Dbacks appearl when they were purple.. Only thing I bought was the Black "D" hat...

My wife and I were watching a Diamondbacks game on TV a while back. She's not a big sports fan, but made a comment on the new uniforms. Unprintable!

The Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals home uniforms are the class of the N.L.

I believe that the Cards use the same logo on their road uni's as at home. I wish that the Dodgers still did. Los Angeles in script across their chests looks lame.

I think everyone knows where the Dodgers are from when they are the visiting team.

As far as the D'backs, they probably did the best they could, knowing that they wanted to put distance between the current regime and the J.C. years, right or wrong.
