I should preface this by saying I myself dont like this Idea, lol. But it is one I havent seen yet and is interesting.

1st rounder - Jarvis Jones
2nd rouner - Damontre Moore

Sam Acho, moved to MLB.

Linebacker Corps looks like this:

Moore, Acho, Washington, Jones

I know alot of guys around here love Alex Okafor, so he could be an option over Moore.

We must use this draft on Olinemen, no question. HOWEVER, truth is that that ^^^ is possible, and would probably give us the 2nd best LB corps in the NFL, behind the 49ers.

Moore and Jones off the edges together would give us a hyper elite pass rush.

Again, this is for yall, I dont like it. I want O's

Why wouldn't you like that? You just don't get an OT this draft till late. You could still get some IL's.

Acho wouldn't start over Brinkley. Don't think he'd hold up to a power run game.

This would also be a good draft and would take care of a weakness. Although I want OL I would be happy with this draft.

I really like the part of moving Acho to ILB. I think he would be a much better ILB than Brinkley.

This is the deepest O line class theres been in a long time.

O line is the reason this team is so dysfunctional. If we fix it, wed be 10x better. Wed still suck, but 10x further than we were last year.

I think acho would be a great ILB. Hes huge. 6'3 260ish. Plus he could always bulk up bigger.

Jasper is like 6'1 250.

why? Reading about Brinkley, I like the guy. It seems the coaches and team does as well. Ach himself was quoted as saying Brinkley is already coming off as a leader in the locker room. I'm actually excited to see what he can do

When I played the Cards vs Vikings game to watch Brinkley he did not look very good to me. If you have the game watch Brinkley and tell me what you think.he missed several tackles and just looked like he should be a backup.

Me too. I think Acho keeps his job and maybe is put on the SOLB spot where he ACTUALLY BELONGS, imo.

Draft a rush specialist for the weak side. Dion Jordan, Barkevious Mingo or Jarvis Jones.

THIS! I think we can still get a quality O-lineman in the second round. I don't know enough about many of the plaers in the draft besides what I read here.

One player that intriques me is Barrett Jones. This seems to be a guy that would seem to be an Arians type a guy. His versitility alone would make our 0line better.

Shouldn't we be happy if we ended up with Dion Jordan and Barrett Jones?

cobwebs? He just came off missing an entire season. I think with the right motivation and coaching he should step up and do well. He seems like a very driven individual. I believe he will bust his ass to be the best player he can be. Which includes making those missed tackles. I bet he learns a lot playing with DWash too. That guy is one of, if not the best 1-on-1 tackler in the NFL. His tackling mechanics are phenomenal

Jarvis Jones is the best by far.

Jordan and Mingo are just combine freaks. All the speed in the world isnt the key to success. Ask anyone on the Raiders.

You dont have to be the fastest or strongest anything to be great in this league. Id argue that Clay, Ware, Wake - wouldnt 'win' any combine. Von Miller 2 years ago did very good, but even he isnt on par with Jordan or Mingos physical abilities.

The only good comparison would be Aldon Smith who was also a combine freak. But then again, look at Aldon when he doesnt have his superstar team mates eating up blockers, he went o-for in the last 3 weeks or so + the playoffs. You need a guy who creates his own sack oppotunities.

Alot of it is mental and technique. JJ is better than both in that regard.

I agree with this. If anyone told us last year we would be in a position to draft Jarvis Jones we'd be doing backflips.

Jones' production this past year, despite getting keyed on, was even better:

2011 70 tackles; 19.5 tfl; 13.5 sacks, 2 ff, 0 ints.

2012 85 tackles; 24.5 tfl; 14.5 sacks, 3 ff, 1 int---and he missed 2 games with an ankle injury.

He's been cleared medically...his condition may be a long-term issue several years down the line, but maybe not...and he ran a 4.9 40 which belies his game speed and quickness...and if these rookie contracts were as exorbitant as they used to be that could make a team think twice, but, he's plenty worth the contract he's going to get. he lacks ideal length, but then again so does Von Miller, Elvis Dumerville, Dwight Freeney and James Harrison...to name a few.

I think that a guy like Jones is just as important as a o-line guy at the top. If we draft for the o-line look at the third and fourth round for a center/guard.

Usually, thats right, but I disagree in this instance.

Last year we had an elite, superbowl quality Defense. And yet we failed miserably because we had an offense that struggled to put up 100 yards per game. Mostly due to QB play which stemmed from atrocious Oline play.

Fix the oline and suddenly our run game gets better and our plass game gets better. 1 more top defender doesnt put points up on our side of the score board.

Perfect example being the Jets game. Didnt we have like 6 turnovers? And we still lost.

Its time to suck it up and throw everything we have at improving this Oline. Its about 10 years overdue.

I think Jones is the best pass rusher in the draft. Look at his college tenure and the tape, it speaks volumes...production trumps potential :)
