What Exactly Is The SNL Schedule?

Every time I tune in to watch it its a rerun.. But just last week it was a new one with Peyton Manning, which I missed.. Do they just put new ones on whenever they want? Do they even keep a schedule?

I guess my question was more on the subject of.. Does SNL run a full season week by week till its done? Or do they just randomly put on new episodes at their leisure? Cuz it doesnt seem to matter what time of the year it is, I always tune into a rerun..

Well, the typical tv season is only 22 weeks. SNL usually premieres in Late Sep and runs 2-3 episodes. Then a one week break and usually every week except for around Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. The usually take a one week break the Sat before the Super Bowl too.
