Does Eric start or will he be used more as a pinch hitter?

If I was the D'backs I tell him he's done for the year and thats all there is too it and that he should heal up.

As far as next year goes, I'd primarily let him play the role he's done for most of his career, be a 4th outfielder. If he ******* too much, try to trade him (which will be tough) or cut him. It was a bad signing, but playing him over better players doesn't make it better.

If they didn't want him back they would of recommended surgery, but Eric thinks he can come back in September.

Don't let him come back. Seriously, I hope they don't make any mistakes. The outfield is a very tricky situation on the D-Backs. I'm guessing Dunn won't be back next year, so that will make this situation a bit easier. But I still think who ever produces stays. I mean, you don't want money going to waste, but production is what its all about.

I think the diamondbacks made Eric Brynes there franchise player. I don't think were going to give up on him. we made him the face of the franchise and we have to give him a fair shot.

But, we don't want to remove a player who is producing or screw up any kind of chemistry there is. It will be tricky but somehow Melvin will have to not screw this up. My confidence in him isn't very high.

dbacks.com is saying he is probably done for the year, so we don't have to worry about him.

Bob Melvin is probably thanking his lucky stars that he's been spared having to hem and haw about another decision, such as:

'Well, we probably would have to make, y'know, a little adjustment in the lineup maybe, but nobody else would be, y'know, affected a little probably, I think.' :D
