1. This was bad. It's hard to see the Cards being a playoff team. I feel like I should be writing, "It's the way they lost," even tough they won.
2. I'd run more no huddle. Palmer seems better in a hurry up offense. Weird!
3. I don't know if Palmer's done but if this is all he has, he's not a playoff QB.
4. Long runs will be rare.
5. Worse O-line since Warner quit to save his life.
6. The receivers need to run better routes.
7. They should have kept last year's safeties. That's the biggest D problem. A good anchor DT would help
8. Bethel is starting to get it; Williams isn't. Cut Williams!
9. Iupati & Veldheer can no longer handle speed rushers
10. Baker needs to play though he'll make mistakes. He's got a big future.
11. The Cards had too many players get too old at the same time.

I think the coaching staff kept believing, stating last season, that these older guys would return to form. As futurist Joel Barker says, "A major planning failure often results from believing the future will merely be an extension of the past." Things change!

I mean Iupati didn't play but he still needs to go... Veldheer has been horrible

The problem with too much hurry up is if you are ineffective you will gas your D out quickly

Setting aside P2--the Cards most expensive players aren't performing well.

Can you name a high dollar guy on offense who is playing to his cap number?

i don't see where I can argue with anything you wrote...
i can't see this team doing anything this year (would be happy to be proven stupid with that statement, but I can't see it)

i have absolutely NO faith in the management or coaching on this team (for example, your best RB on the day with 4.0 yds per carry, not spectacular but with that O-line, not bad at all, is ... CJ2K... I was pissed when they released him, your name needs to be Johnson to succeed at running for the Cardinals, doesn't this organization know even that basic a truth ? also makes you doubt their evaluation procedure)

my biggest sorrow is for young fans, my son was 5 when we moved here in 93, we had never lived where we could have a team and this seemed great ... until we saw what was happening ... I still LOVE Jake Plummer, I don't listen when they say he created the problems he needed to solve in spectacular fashion... at least he was something positive to watch...

then we get Kurt Warner, the toughest player to ever play football ... that may have been not so good, we were used to futility and anguish, now we suddenly felt like we could win it all ... how do you go back to mediocrity ?

I have not felt that way about this team since Warner. Yes, I want them to be good, but I have NEVER since had that feeling, that, despite the current record, we could come roaring back... I miss that ... it now seems that if we aren't well out in front of the pack, we don't feel anything but dread...

I truly believe that the Coaches are toast, the QB is toast and many of the players are sub-par (although, come to think of it, we have had lots of players that couldn't succeed here, go on to successful careers elsewhere, so maybe it all comes down to coaching ... don't know... dangerously close to not caring anymore...)

The worst part for me is they never look well prepared.

I expect crisp, fast, precise play from our offense and it is just not there. Has not been there for a very long time.

+1

This team looks unprepared for every game for awhile. Slow starts and poor or lack of adjustments puts this team in bad shape to start games.

When Bucannon comes back (and maybe this week) will it push Reddick to the bench? And if so will he be used as a backup at OLB and ILB?

Reddick should continue to have a prominent role in the nickel and dime packages and may rotate in at ILB and OLB in the base. So, he will still be on the field 67% of the time.

I'd consider moving Reddick to Mauro's spot on passing downs. His speed/strength factor should make him a terror in that spot.
