Don’t know if you had the chance to see the interview with Keim. He was asked which free agent he was most excited about. His answer was “ the ink hasn’t dried yet”. Sounds like he’s targeting a few more guys. I think with the infusion of talent we obtained we are going to see some shocking cuts before this season starts.

Sounds like he just signed the players and hasn't seen them on the field playing for the Cardinals yet.

Guys that have likely played their last down for the Cardinals:

#1. Chad Williams
#2. Brandon Williams
#3. Robert Nkemdiche
#4. Rudy Ford
#5 Trent Sherfield

That's probably pretty accurate. AQ might be on that list as well.

I think Rudy Ford played a significant special teams role and, unless I am mistaken, that should keep him safe. Nkemdiche is injured so imagine they will just shelve him for the time being. Don't discount Sherfield. He does have a year of experience under his belt. Hard to see a world where the Williams's stick around.

Where did you see that? Last I saw he was one of like 8 guys from his draft that hasn’t had his option picked up...that was as of 3 hours ago anyway.

He's had success adding late veterans on 1 yr deals that have panned out, let's hope that continues?

Saw it on nfl network
That dude has all the talent in the world but he plays sooooooooo lazy, very inconsistent. He was the #1 player in the country when signing with Ole Miss coming out of high school, as a DT for crying out loud.

Don't expect Cardinals to pick up the 5th year option of Robert Nkemdiche. No reason to given his injury history and lack of productivity. Might just be a lost first-round pick

The #Cardinals are declining DT Robert Nkemdiche’s fifth-year option, source said. Had his best season in 2018 with 4½ sacks in 10 games (six starts). A talented addition to the free-agent market next March.

Would it make sense to just release Chad, Brandon and Robert now? Nkemdiche won’t play until late season and will be a free agent.

Can we package all 3 and trade them to Tampa?

Agree on Ford. Good special teams player and hadn't totally embarrassed himself as a backup.

Sherfield likely makes it as well. He showed in limited time that he can play a little. We are all guilty of over estimating the impact draft picks make. It would surprise me to see either Butler or Keesean Johnson cut.

I expect the Cardinals keep 7 WRs, with Cooper or Byrd sticking around for return duties.
