You can add LT and DL or NT to that.

And maybe QB if the coach isn't 100% sure of his talents, though Wiz says all the right things. Colt McCoy?

Yesterday opened up our possibilties.

Colt will be injured too much possibly at the next level. Too Risky picking him first. I'd take a flyer on a later pick however. We need too much this year.

Trade down and stockpile picks. Too many holes and a boatload of talent to be had in the first 4 rounds.

I would think that it depends on what we do in free agency.

Drafting for need will kill you. Aside from that, I'm worried about drafting starters this season. Why? Whis is notorious for not starting high draft picks, instead making them work for it, earn it, and fight their way into the lineup. That's great and I love the sentiment, but if we carry gaping holes into the draft and have to draft starters, he won't have that luxury.

All of this leads me to believe we will get some solid role players in FA.

Make a list of the 26 prospects who could best help our football team and - assuming we think all 26 are worth it - we're guaranteed to get one of them.

If, however, we only come up with, say 23 or 24 guys we really like and all of them are off our board by the time we pick; we might consider trading down out of the pick.

Personally, I'm not big on trading down if it means losing a chance to grab elite talent; nor am I big on trading down so far that I can't be guaranteed one of a bunch of players - all fairly even in quality - that I like.

I'm also wary of trading up this year (for picks) because we have too many roster holes to give up draft choices.

Bottom line - There's still free agency along with the draft. We're probably 6 - 8 quality players shy of where we were as a playoff team last season. We'll need a combination of FA's and draft picks to replace those 6 - 8 players, and (although I hope we do) I'm not 100% positive we have enough ammo to accomplish this.

Draft me...I could use the money!

But seriously I say we stand pat with our 1st and take a player we expect to make an impact sooner than later.
