I was wondering with a lot of talented young guys in the minors ready to make the next jump, who do you think from this year's starters should not be starting next year?
Right now the guys who I think should not be starting next year are:
Counsell
Clayton
Clark
Gonzo(won't happen though)
Jackson should be starting at first. Hopefully Drew will be ready to play short or second. I hope they don't trade Tracy and he is in right. I would like to see Carlos in left and Green in center. Obviously that outfield makeup would be a defensive liability. Most likely Gonzo will be in left and either Green or Tracy will be traded.
Of course they need to get pitchers. Is there a sucker who would take Ortiz? Maybe if the Diamondbacks throw in a prospect. It should be an interesting offseason. I just hope to see Carlos, Conor and Drew starting when April comes.
By the way, anyone else a little concerned that Upton has not signed?
