I remember reading he said he would go in as a Sixer. I wonder if the past few months have changed his mind?

i would love it if he went in as a sun, but i'd be really shocked if he went in as anything other than the sixers.

Consider yourself shocked

If Hall calls, Barkley will go as a Sun

Charles Barkley said Saturday night that he will go into the basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Suns instead of the Philadelphia 76ers.

Barkley said he changed his mind because of everything that led to his inductions to the Suns Ring of Honor.

"I've been debating it for a long time," Barkley said after his photo and jersey number, 34, were unveiled at the southwest end of America West Arena during a ceremony at halftime of the Milwaukee Bucks-Suns game. "I couldn't go in as a Sun, if we're estranged."

Barkley and Suns feuded for years after he was trade to Houston following his rip of Jerry Colangelo on national television in 1996.

It was then that Barkley said he would go into the Hall as a 76ers, his first team in the NBA.

But he began to re-think his plans last year when it was announced that he and Colangelo had settled their differences.

"This just kind of sealed it," said Barkley, who will be eligible for the Hall in 2005, or five years after his final NBA season- 1999-2000 in Houston. "If I wasn't in the Ring of Honor or we weren't on speaking terms, obviously I wouldn't go in as a Sun."

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but only the Baseball HOF affixes a team in association with their HOF induction (Ball caps)

All other sports induct the player without any team association, so Barkley can say he wants to be a Phoenix Sun all he wants....don't mean squat

There are pictures of the players and they can choose what team to represent,Mose Malone chose Philidelphia when infact he was with 7 NBA and 2 ABA teams

I didn't realize Mose played for so many teams, but there is little doubt that he was the final piece for the Sixers championship team.

ABA's Utah Stars (1974-75)
ABA's St. Louis Spirit (1975-76)
NBA's Buffalo Braves (1976-77)
NBA's Houston Rockets (1976-77 to 1981-82)
NBA's Philadelphia's 76ers1982-83 to 1985-86 and 1993-94)
NBA's Washington Bullets (1986-87 to 1987-88)
NBA's Atlanta Hawks (1988-89 to 1990-91)
NBA's Milwaukee Bucks (1991-92 to 1992-93)
NBA's San Antonio Spurs (1994-95)

Will not see this from a player again.

Thank you. One of the problems with living out west is that I lose track of players who bounce around if they aren't on top tier playoff teams.

I assume you mean, from a player of Malone's caliber. There are at least a few current or recent NBA players who have played on that many teams (or close). Chris Gatling is perhaps the best known example; his page on nba.com shows 11 tours of duty, the last in '01-'02 with the Heat. Corie Blount is up to eight right now.

By the way, what is the second-to-last man in your signature picture carrying? A jackhammer? I just can't make sense of it.
