Lost is #2 on my all-time list. Curious to know what the characters see that we don't? The question of "What was/is it?" was asked several times, and the answer was always, "don't know. Didn't see it."Lost. Couldn't stand the pilot because of a perceived "the characters can see it but we aren't showing it to you" instance of assholic writing. As I said, perceived, as folks gave me spoilers (I asked for them) to explain why. I still didn't like how it was handled, and had no desire to watch.
I haven't seen most sitcoms since the golden years.

If you're republican, then West Wing probably wouldn't be for you. If you are liberal, then it's a no-brainer.Never watched Lost or West Wing
It’s on my shows to watch. I just haven’t gotten around to itIf you're republican, then West Wing probably wouldn't be for you. If you are liberal, then it's a no-brainer.
And besides that, the writing is absolutely brilliant on that show.
Ah, that was it! I misremembered: the characters couldn't see it either. Some huge thing is crashing through the woods and it seemed like they were purposefully giving camera shots to not show it. Like I said, there were reasons later in the series but it rubbed me wrong in the pilot and I didn't care to continue.Lost is #2 on my all-time list. I don't know about that. My mother is a staunch Republican (even though all of her views are liberal). She patently refused to watch this show. She finally agreed to watch the pilot to shut me up. She grudgingly admitted she liked it and, when I said we didn't have to watch more, told me to spool up the next episode right freaking nowIf you're republican, then West Wing probably wouldn't be for you. I was still voting Republican when I watched West Wing the first time. I thought it was one of the best shows I've ever seen of any genre.I don't know about that. I occasionally watch a TOS episode every now and then but it's the nostalgia factor for me, it certainly doesn't hold up well today on it's own merits. And although I liked aspects of TNG, I was never fully hooked on the show. I'd watch an episode every now and then but didn't worry if I missed any. Give me Stargate SG-1 or Doctor Who over them any day of the week.Twin Peak - started it once but never went back.
Mad Men
The two that usually surprise people that know me. I've tried to start both multiple times but just can't get into them for some reason.
Star Trek TOS
Star Trek TNG
For newer shows I never jumped into any of these. The hype never caught me. They felt like they only had buzz due to the lockdowns.
Squid Game
Tiger King
Both Stargate and Who are my jam too. Especially SG-1. It's my background show at night.I occasionally watch a TOS episode every now and then but it's the nostalgia factor for me, it certainly doesn't hold up well today on it's own merits. Bipartisanism was a thing back then. Can you conceive a circumstance where a MAGA republican would watch such a woke show today?I was still voting Republican when I watched West Wing the first time. I thought it was one of the best shows I've ever seen of any genre.
I'm going to respond in a spoiler since we're quickly approaching P&R territory with this conversation:Bipartisanism was a thing back then. Can you conceive a circumstance where a MAGA republican would watch such a woke show today?
I enjoyed the show. But for some people intellect Trumps feelingsBipartisanism was a thing back then. Can you conceive a circumstance where a MAGA republican would watch such a woke show today?
Never watched Law & Order or any CSI or Greys AnatomySopranos
The Wire
Greys Anatomy
Every CSI
Every Law and Order
And I don't watch much network TV anymore.
It's a political show, whether you like it or not. But it's not going to go any further.Stop the political talk in here.
I never got the appeal of Greys Anatomy. ER did it so much better.Never watched Law & Order or any CSI or Greys Anatomy
Every raved about the Wire but I found that the first season was a slog to get through
The Sopranos is one of the best shows ever
