Where has this attitude come from all of the sudden? First he gets into a public altercation with a brand new manager, then he shows up Parra in front of everyone saying and motioning that he should have dove (Parra made the right decision to play it safe and not dive), then the ball takes a weird hop off the wall on Byrnes and DD mouths "What the %&^# was that?" like Byrnes had done something wrong.

Am I overreacting to these incidents or is DD starting to develop an arrogant, cancerous attitude?

I saw that Parra thingy and Grace pointed it out right away. Isn't this a contract year for Davis?

Yep. Veteran pitcher on a team with a youth movement looking for a new contract next year...his last big contract.

I think Davis will be traded before the deadline. He was pissed when AJ took him out against Florida and then was not happy with Matt Williams' remarks.

Doug Davis was 21-21 with Texas, 4-6 with Toronto and 37-36 with Milwaukee. A combined record of 62-63 before joining the D'backs.

He is 21-26 with the D'backs. An overall record to date of 83-89.

Granted, a W-L record is not the only indicator of the worth of a Pitcher.

But consistent mediocrity at every stop along the way does not put him into the elite class of pitchers in the league.

He is not going to lead any team to a winning season. He can easily be replaced. I think it's nearing the time to do so.

It still bothers me that Davis bumped Scherzer from the rotation when he returned after battling cancer. Davis was much more equipped to handle the long relief role.

Putting Max into that role caused his injury and set his career back. A career with much more potential than that of Doug Davis.

A lifetime .500 Manager choosing a lifetime .500 Pitcher over an amazing prospect. Bad memories.
