Michigan State is back in the Sweet 16 after taking care of New Mexico on Sunday.
The Spartans, the 2-seed in the South region, beat Bryant in their tournament opener and then beat familiar foe Richard Pitino and his 10-seed Lobos to get back in the second weekend for the first time since 2023, when MSU lost to Kansas State in a nail-biter.
Now, the Spartans will head to State Farm Arena in Atlanta to face Mississippi for a potential Elite Eight matchup against Auburn or rival Michigan, who beat Texas A&M on Saturday.
