The 2025 NBA playoffs are approaching, and while not much is set yet, the bracket does have some form.
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder were dominant in the regular season, while the defending champion Boston Celtics are checking in as a No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Los Angeles Lakers closed hard to get a No. 3 seed, while the Dallas Mavericks sputtered to the final spot in the play-in tournament.
That play-in tournament that concludes Saturday will produce the No. 7 and No. 8 seeds.
The playoffs, which are considered a separate entity from the play-in tournament, start Saturday, April 19. The play-in tournament started Tuesday, April 15.
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers are the top seeds.
The Los Angeles Lakers are a No. 3 seed and will host the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. Mountain/7:30 p.m. Central. That is the first game of a seven-game series.
