After months of previews and breakdowns, the week of the 2025 NFL draft has finally arrived.
The New England Patriots will embark on their first NFL draft with Mike Vrabel as the head coach at a time when the team is attempting to mimic a Washington Commanders-like rebuild and turnaround.
Washington went from a 4-13 season in 2023 to advancing to the NFC Championship Game and falling to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles last season. Could the Patriots be the next losing team to spring back to life in 2025?
They had a good start to free agency with the team adding talent on both sides of the ball. We'll see if that run of good decisions continues this week. For those wondering when the draft starts, we've got you covered.
The 2025 NFL draft is slated to start at 8:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 24. This year, the event is located at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. It will be a three-day extravaganza with Day 2 slated for Friday, April 25 at 7:00 p.m. ET and Day 3 starting at 11:00 a.m. ET on Saturday, April 26.
The No. 4 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft was the Arizona Cardinals selecting former Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. That pick was posted to social media at approximately 8:38 p.m. ET. That means Patriots fans should probably be on the lookout for the team to be on the board at around 8:35 p.m. ET.
Some might want to pay attention even earlier in case things are moving along quicker than they were last year.
First round: No. 4 pick
Second round: No. 38 pick
Third round: No. 69 pick, No. 77 pick
Fourth round: No. 106 pick
Fifth round: No. 144 pick, No. 171 pick
Seventh round: No. 220 pick, No. 238 pick
