When Jesus Aguilar crushed a fly ball that hit off the base of the left-field wall, he made a wide turn around first before retreating and throwing his hands up, as if to say he was surrendering the thought of a double as Cespedes fired a strike into second base. Keeping Aguilar to a single helped the Mets’ bullpen escape an eventful eighth inning on the way to a 6-5 win over the Brewers at Citi Field.
