Something needs to be done before the start of the second half.

So, should I watch today? I want to watch Webb, but if we lose to another crappy pitcher with Webb on the mound I don't know if I could take it. It's so frustrating because the Dodgers and Pads are sucking it up too and the D-Backs can't gain any ground!

Another loss to the worst team in baseball. Someone please start a fireMelvin.com website.

I'm glad I can take a nice 11 day break from D-Backs baseball. This is brutal.

I went to the game last night. My first time getting to see Webb in person :). It was a decent game but the Reds got lucky. Their bullpen blows. After Byrnes hit that 3 run big fly in the 8th we should have had it but I'll give credit to Brandon Phillips who tagged up from first to second on a fly ball to center in the bottom of the 8th that led to them scoring the winning run.

In BP, Papa Grande threw me a ball because I was like the only person there with D-Backs stuff on :)

Bases loaded with one out in the top of the first and the Diamondbacks don't score. This team is playing so pathetically right now.

Reds start the bottom of the first with a home run.

Nice clutch hitting by Montero and O-Dog. If they can win this and carry some momentum into the all-star break I will still have some hope. It's been so frustrating how we've been losing because the Dodgers have also lost 4 straight...we should be in 2nd place right now. :( Let's hope that the team can score some runs now and finish it off. I haven't seen Valverde for a while.

Edit: Great double play to save the game. Now can we score? Please...?

Owings with a single in a pitch hit situation!!!

EDIT: And he advances to 2nd on a bad pitch, very impressive.

Ouch, another close loss that we should've won...maybe having this break will get them back on track. They are a better team than this. I'll wait until the first couple series after the all-star break to really give up on them and start talking about the off-season.

When is the trade deadline? It would be nice if the FO can do something. Doesn't have to be extreme, but make some sort of improvement...

They are a better team than this.

What makes you say that? I think earlier this year was more of a mirage than what we are seeing now. I think they are a .500 team, we are seeing the real deal right now.

If they are a .500 team then they would be better than a team being embarrassed by last place teams, correct? :) I think the hitting will be a little bit better and not leave as many people on base even though we need another bat to be a real threat. With more experience I see the younger players picking up their games a bit. The starting pitching is what worries me. All of those guys are so inconsistent and even Webb isn't having a very good season. I think the players may have been a little fatigued from 26 games in 27 days(they've played more games than anyone in the division), many of the series on the road, so I think the break may help a little. And IF Melvin can pick a line-up and stick with it it will make a difference. I know he probably won't, but it'll be easier if they pick between Cojack and Tracy now and go after a trade that will help the team and eliminate the logjam at the corners.
