After a quick search of the forum I found that there are 132 threads with either "reboot" or "remake" in the tread title. Considering how many reboots/remakes we've discussed in one way, or another, are there any films that need, or deserve, a reexamination?

I agree with Assface for my first choice...The Last Starfighter!

...they should do The Last Starfighter. This is one of my childhood favorites that would benefit from modern technology and better acting for some of the roles.

First thing that comes to mind: A Jack Reacher film with an actor that actually fits the character from the books.

I'm still waiting for a good Dune.

Before David Lynch made Dune, there was Alejandro Jodorowsky's vision for a film. It never got made, but there's a documentary about it:

Salvador Dali as the Padishah Emperor? I would have loved to have seen that!

Street Fighter is another film that could be redone much better now...as long as it keeps this Raul Julia line:

Holy crap! What a travesty it was never made. I had no idea.
