White's stat line!!

PLAYER OF THE GAME: White, who had 13 points (6-of-7 shooting), five rebounds, blocked a shot and had an assist.

I have been saying that's all we need from our centers to be effective. Just do well enough to keep the other team honest!! Of course his very physical play was a BIG plus for us!! He was a baby Shaq for us last night!

He does so much more than the stat line though.

He makes the entire line-up more physical. He's very good at basic blocking out as a rebounder--which helps others rebound as well. He's a good offensive rebounder which is essentially a turnover as well as a rebound and a potential score. He sets a mean pick--trying to go around it is like going around a house. He adds some intimidation. He's an excellent addition in practice in that players will get used to having a "Shaq-like" load leaning on them.

But, I am gushing. I should hold my enthusiasm for at least a few games.
