Jahidi White had ten rebounds and four blocked shots against the Rockets in 30 minutes of play. As well as the rest of the team played, his contribution was as big as anyone's.

In many ways, the 30 minutes was his most significant statistic. He has averaged less than 20 minutes a game for all but one season of his career (00/01). His numbers per minute are actually pretty good. The key is for him to be able to play at that level for 30+ minutes.

My guess is that White will see more minutes under Mike D'A. He may be less effective than Voskuhl on double teams, but better at man defense. They will run fewer pick and rolls, but more low post plays with White.

No doubt he'll get his 6 fouls' worth against Shaquille O'Neal tonight. I think D'Antoni also plans on playing Williams and/or Voskuhl at power forward against Karl Malone.

Honestly, if they stay remotely close tonight against the Lakers I'll be satisfied. With the injuries they really have no business being in the game after the first quarter.

White got 11 points (4 of 8 from the field) and 9 rebounds in 25 minutes against the Lakers. He held Shaq to 18 points (last time he scored 24). I like what he brings to the game.
