Well done by Whisenhunt.

I gotta admit, I like the idea of Whisenhunt letting the Niners twist on who the starter will be. It'll drive some of the people on this board loony, but that just adds to the fun!

Pretty fair assessment of the situation. Whiz is handling this well.

I also like his emphasis on the enthusiasm of the team and his rationale for keeping the 49ers guessing as to who the starting QB will be.

Good stuff, Whiz.

hey I'm mad at him but I'm not saying we should take a whiz on him.

Whis - “There are a lot of guys that are counting on Anquan, because he is a good football player."

Yeah, not to mention a few Cardinal faithful… who were really hoping he'd play nice.

On another issue, Whisenhunt said he wasn't sure when -- or if -- he would name a starting quarterback, noting that it might behoove the Cards to let the 49ers wonder who will be behind center on opening day.

The more I hear from the Whis, the more I like the way he thinks. Not only does it keep the Whiners guessing, he keeps Kurt and Matt competing hard.

Everytime Whiz comes out and says something regarding this football team, the happier I am that he is our coach. He obviously was paying attention when he was under Cowher in Pitt. Everyday that goes by we are looking more and more like a team that is going to compete this year and for years to come.

As far as Boldin, I really think Rosenhaus is just trying to get the Cardinals to show some urgency in signing him to an extension. The Cards would have no real need to sign Q to an extension if he was 100% content with his contract. So by making a little fuss he is hoping to light a fire under Graves and hopefully get something done. I am not worried about Q's production or that he would do anything to hurt this team....he is too much of a team player to do that. That being said I think the Cards will extend Q before the season is up.

agree 100%

I think we might have found ourselves a 'real' HC for a change :stick:

What ever Boldin and the press have called the man out time and time again about the fact he is not talking to Boldin.

The whole thing is a worthless waste of time.

1 out of 53, and for once the other 52 look pretty good.

I for one would like to Whiz on Boldin right now! Jackass your only hurting yourself with this nonsense you think other teams are watching this and saying yeah lets go all out to get a guy thats acting like a baby and calling out the coach, organization and doing it all public to the press? Great job Boldin, your turning into the guy you swore up and down that you weren't, you gonna honor your contract by walking out of camp next?

Im not the biggest fan of whiz's coaching ability but I sure do like his demeanor and how he handles himself. So much better than that moron Dave Mac.

Q has been my favorite NFL player since the first year he came in. However, I'm extremely disappointed in how he has handled this request for a new deal.
I understand his point of view about contacts being canceled due to injury or whatever, but I expect him to man up about the contact he signed, and not play this out in the media.

It probably does help his opportunities for trade deals, but I expect that later this year or off-season he will do a new deal with the Cards.

The only NFL jersey I have ever owned is number 81. This year I will change the nameplate to read "Ex-Favorite Player". That's kinda long though, maybe "Whiner" will work just as well.
