The torpedo bats the New York Yankees are using are all the rage in the 2025 MLB season, but it turns out they're not THAT new, although you can be sure more players will be trying them now after the Yankees went on a home run barrage.

There's been some buzz in the MLB world over the bowling pin-shaped bats for longer than this winter, with some teams and players experimenting with them.

If you need to keep track of who's using them and who isn't -- Aaron Judge turned it down given how good he is at hitting baseballs without the help of an enlarged label area of the bat -- we've got you covered with a running list of who's a torpedo bat user.

Let's jump in:

Jazz Chisholm Jr., New York Yankees

One of the multiple Yankees seen with a torpedo bat.

Austin Wells, New York Yankees

HE hit 13 home runs in 2024. He started 2025 with two.

Paul Goldschmidt, New York Yankees

More Yankees!

Anthony Volpe, New York Yankees

And more!

Junior Caminero, Tampa Bay Rays

#Rays Junior Caminero confirmed he was using one of those torpedo style bats that are suddenly all the rage during his pinch hit appearance, said he will continue to do so sometimes.

Ryan Jeffers, Minnesota Twins

Per ESPN:

"There's new pitches getting invented every year," said Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers, who used a bowling pin model in the first three games this year and went 1-for-8. "We're just swinging the same broomstick we've swung for the last 100 years."

Adley Rutschman, Baltimore Orioles

Dansby Swanson, Chicago Cubs

Davis Schneider, Toronto Blue Jays

Just spoke to #BlueJays Davis Schneider, who’s been (and will continue) using the new ‘torpedo’ bat.

“It’s a big ass barrel and I like big barrels”

For a guy who gets a lot of high/inside fastballs, makes a lot of sense. Expect this to spread through the league real fast pic.twitter.com/qkzfNfAOMe

We'll keep adding as we know more.
